Tonight is not a good night for technology in my house. But I'll limit this post to my iPhone issues.
When I plug in my iPhone 3G to my iMac, it initally shows up in iTunes. I just tried to drag a playlist to the iPhone, and it will start syncing, and then suddenly the iPhone no longer shows up under the "Devices" in iTunes. The phone will stay showing "Sync in Progress" for who knows how long. I stopped it after about 5 mins by doing a manual reset on the phone. I've restarted iTunes, I've restarted the iPhone. All of my software is up to date, and the iPhone is using the latest firmware.
I noticed something else as well. I typically use a dock to sync my iPhone. Earlier tonight for the first time ever, when I sat my iPhone in the dock, it would start to charge, but it wouldn't show up in itunes. That has never happened before. I assumed it was an issue with the dock, but now I'm thinking perhaps it's an issue with the phone or itunes? Just not sure.
Any help would be greatly appricated!
