My ring tones are not working! ...

I had an iPhone 3G. It died a few months back, and I replaced it with a 3GS.

When I plugged the 3GS into my Mac, I was asked by the computer if I would like to automatically load my old saved phone settings and stuff to the new phone. I said yes, and the new phone works like a charm.

Except...

My custom ringtones do not work. They refuse to play. I can go to a contact in the address book, assign a ringtone, and save it. When that contact calls, I just get the original stock phone ring sound. I can go back to the address book as many times as I want and re-assign the ringtone (I can even play the ringtones when assigning them, the AAC files are just fine) but they refuse to play when the person calls.

Also, it seems that the regular ""Old Phone" sound is the ONLY ringtone that works with these contacts. I tried to assign "Sonar" to them, and that didn't work either. Only the "Old Phone" ringtone plays.

Any ideas here? I'm confused!
