Item paid, refund " blocked by paypal ", seller ask to cancel transaction

Hi, I recently bought an iPad for $660 on eBay. I'm in Canada and I really, really want it the most rapidly possible. So I bought it for a little more! The day after I bough it, I received an email to inform me that I got refunded for the item.... and that the funds were currently blocked by Paypal. And now, the seller asks me to cancel this transaction. Seriously I really don't like to buy for more than $200 on Internet, and I don't like what's happening right now. I sent $660 to this guy, and now my money is kinda frozen, and I won't get my iPad. In the item description, the seller said " IN-HAND, READY TO SHIP ". I trusted him. Now, what I want to know is: if I cancel this transaction, will I be avaible to put a negative feedback to this seller, or not? Because seriously, I'm very mad about this transaction, and I want to tell other buyer that even if you pay this guy, maybe you won't get your item and your funds will be blocked. I also want to be SURE that my funds will be unblocked and that I will get my money back soon. I was really hoping to get that iPad before it comes in Canada, and now because this wait for my money, I'll have to wait more, and even wait until it comes to Canada. So, seriously, it sucks, and I want to show him.|||He also didn't give a reason for the cancel.......... and he doesn't reply to my email!!!|||Did you fund this purchase with a credit card? When spending that large of an amount of money you should. I'd wait to receive the refund then mutually cancel the transaction if you want.================================================== Yes I do sell on ebay, this is my buying ID.||||||The block may be the 21 day hold Paypal does for new sellers and for high fraud categories like Ipods, Ipads, electronics. It means the seller can not take the funds until they prove delivery , you leave positie Feedback(DO NOT LEAVE POS FB) or the 21 days have expired. DO NOT agree to the cancelation, unless you have received your refund in hand. You need to respond to the cancealtion before 7 days are up or the seller auto gets their Ebay final value fee back. Ebay nor Paypal can force the seller to ship the item. It is very possible the seller does in fact not have the item to ship. If you want to make your payments via Paypal instant and via credit card, then when you go to pay for each item, you must change your funding source, each time you pay to a credit card. In order to do this, you must have NO money in your Paypal acct.||||||The block may be the 21 day hold Paypal does for new sellers and for high fraud categories like Ipods, Ipads, electronics. The hold would be released if the seller refunded the money properly. Refunding is the one thing that PayPal will allow you to do with held money.|||Paypal telling you that you are protected better by not using a credit card is not really true. You get more protection with a credit card through paypal. Credit card allows you to make a chargeback even if PayPal doesn't refund you properly.Even when I am telling a lie I am truthful. Rick|||I imagine they are waiting for the funds to clear your bank before paypal can finish the refund to you. The seller may have cancelled if you didn't have a confirmed address as they state they only ship to confirmed addresses."This must be Thursday, said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer, I never could get the hang of Thursdays."|||I wouldn't agree to mutually cancel the transaction. I would decline it. He's a non-performing seller. Always Unique Totally Interesting Sometimes Mysterious|||"but Paypal always say that I should pay with my bank account, because they offer more protection. " This is horse hockey pucks. Paypal does not want you to be able to do a chargeback as stated above. Ignore that and always fund the purchase with a credit card, especially now that Ebay is taking over the Buyer Protection||||||but Paypal always say that I should pay with my bank account, because they offer more protection. More protection for PayPal not for you. When you pay with a credit card, you hold the power to force a refund from PayPal even if they don't agree with you. With a bank transfer, if PayPal doesn't agree that you deserve a refund you don't get one. Always use your credit card. iPads are very high fraud items on eBay. Choose your sellers very very carefully. You want sellers that have established track records for selling electronics. Not some newbie. Personally, I would never buy one here.|||Your seller has nearly 1300 feedback with 100%. He states pmt. must be received within 3 days. If your pmt. has a hold on it he has a right to cancel the transaction as he may have to wait MORE than 5 days for your pmt. to clear~~5 business days from a US bank but may be longer from a Canada bank. Maybe he needs the $$ for some reason before your pmt. will clear?? You should have used the credit card and pmt. to him would have been immediate.. Did you pay right away or did you wait a few days to pay him?|||Also, pay pal isn't going to take a chance of giving you $660.00 when your pmt. MAY NOT clear your bank. Then THEY would be out $660.00. They will wait for your bank pmt. to clear before refunding your money back to you.

As a buyer, do you like listings that only use eBay's picture service?

Hi Buyers! For the past few days there has been a discussion on the Clothing board about Ebay's picture services. I am curious how you the buyer feel about listings that only use the new free picture pack. I have always used embedded pix in my listings but since the new free pic pack rolled out, I am slowly transitioning to it. I still include some embedded, html pix in the body of the listing. Does only having ebay picture pack make you hit the back button when shopping? I have included the link to the discussion. Thanks in advance for any input you are willing to give me. LinkLora There's a reason for everything that has happened in your life. When things are going well, count your blessings and keep up the good work. When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.|||I looked at a couple of your listings and say as long as the photos are like the one of the lil yellow flowered dress size 12 , that is exactly what buyers like to see. It gives buyers a very good idea of exactly, what they are buying and what to expect. The auctions with one small photo, no measurements, clothes laying on beds, the floor , are the ones I hit the back button on quick.|||The auctions with one small photo, no measurements, clothes laying on beds, the floor , are the ones I hit the back button on quick. Does this include jeans and or pants? The reason I ask is because I have a green, astro turf rug I use only for taking pix of jeans, pants, and shorts. The green color is a great contrast for jeans and I like the way it looks. For high end dress pants I use either a dress form or a half mani but those pics never seem to showcase the bottoms as well as the ones on the turf.Lora There's a reason for everything that has happened in your life. When things are going well, count your blessings and keep up the good work. When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.|||I see what you mean about the nice contract with the green turf, but how does the buyer know, you only use it for taking photos? They don't. I have seen many sellers, who you would swear took the item to their astro turfed back deck out doors, where people/animals walk and use that for photos. That is just a bit of a turn off to me personally. Your items and photos are very clean, crisp and well done, so my comment was more general, than yours in particular.|||With your clean items, crisp photos, great descriptions,DSR and feedback, I would have no problem buying at all. Like I said, I wish more sellers, would take the time to do auctions like yours. You can clearly see and know, what you are buying.|||Thanks salez4u! Just to be clear I am not trying to advertise my listings. I really am interested in the buyers opinions of listings with ONLY Ebay hosted pictures. The clothing sellers that are also buyers have been very verbal about how they dislike the picture packs. Personally, I just started using it but I do not want to lose business because of it.Lora There's a reason for everything that has happened in your life. When things are going well, count your blessings and keep up the good work. When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.|||"Just to be clear I am not trying to advertise my listings. I really am interested in the buyers opinions of listings with ONLY Ebay hosted pictures. " That was clear from your posts, not to worry.|||As a buyer, I have no idea what the free ebay picture pack would consist of. I like your listings that have the zoom and enlarge for the pics much better than the listings with just the enlarge. Having just the enlarge for the pics would not make me hit the back button. I am assuming the embedded, html pix in the body of the listing was added by you to both the listings with zoom and enlarge and the listings with just enlarge.||||||For your pics for the listing I looked at, at least, the enlarge feature enlarges the pic to about the size of the same pics you have embedded. And the Zoom enlarges the portion it covers to about the same size of the enlarged pic. I don't know if the size of the original imported pic has anything to do with that or if the pics are automatically sized in the eBay pack. It might be possible that the other seller's original pics are too small to start with. For your excellant pics, I would be happy with the Zoom and Enlarge with any additional pics above eBay's allowance for that feature embedded. This is just my opinion as one buyer and limited to your listings. I haven't checked another sellers listings.|||I do not care how the photos are put on the auctions as long as they are good pictures of the widget. I do not want to see dark and/or blurry pictures.|||

how to report a bad seller ....

its a long story on another thread - what is the trust and safety - is that where you report a bad seller? how do you report bad seller?|||Bad seller, how? It depends on what you mean by bad seller? Sorry, it is not a one answer fits all question. Are you talking Ebay policy violation, or are you talking the item was not what you expected and seller refuses refund? It matters.|||The same way you report a bad buyer. 1. Open window. 2. Shout explitives. 3. Close window. 4. Go on with your life.||||||OK now that we know the story, dirty stained comforter, if the seller balks at a return and 100% refund, then file the SNAD with Paypal. Return with delivery confirmation. Once the refund is in hand, leave an appropriate neg: " item SNAD, stained dirty". The buyer won SNAD dispute and NEG is how you put a seller on Ebay's radar, in this case. Never buy a "used item" and assume, you will be able to remedy it. With bedding, I would save up, wait for a sale on new and higher quality.|||"Queen white down comforter! 2 feather down comforters in one. My wife had a comforter thsat was falling apart so she took that one and put it in this one. its in great shape. Really puffy! Nothing wrong with it. She doesnt have a queen bed anymore. so its been sitting in the closet and needs a new home. Some storage stains nothing a good washing wont fix. " Based on this, I would have passed. This will be expensive to return due to weight and size dimentions. The seller's feedback should have been a clue. Always check a seller's feedback on toolhause before bidding. It would have told you this is one you should pass on.|||Seller's NEGs tells the whole story.Link|||"what is the trust and safety " It is a department of Ebay that receives reports of policy violations/compliance and hands out sanctions to buyers and sellers. Now the seller wants her to return the item on her dime (which being so large, is expensive). Lazypalms - has anything "new" transpired? I've been following to see how it all turns out. I think the seller wants the item back so they can pass it on to the next unsuspecting buyer.|||email sent by my husband - he was fed up - Dear Mr. (left his name out intentionally), You refunded my wifes original money she spent. That is what a decent seller does. However, she has mentioned several times to you that it will cost $12.55 to have it returned back to you. It will not come out of HER money/refund. That money is hers that she got back for her purchase - not to use to pay MORE for return. She would then be out $12.55 - for what? YOUR wifes mistake? Seriously? Your wife will take the loss on this as it was her fault that trash was sent in the first place. Get real. The blanket was damaged/filthy - you saw it. I can't believe you would even have the audacity to ask my wife to pay to return such a badly damaged item. Send $12.55 for return and you may have it back. seller responded with: "How about this leave me good feed back I leave you good feed back and were done with it! Game?" we have not responded back so far - with either email or feedback. Just settling down some stress so I can think again......|||OP~~I have read a little of your feedback left for sellers. On a 99 cent pair of shorts you state they were sold as a childs size when in actuality they look like they were sold as a Miss 9/10~~nowhere in the listing does it say they are a childs size.. Then there was something about butt stains you couldn't remove? Then there was the grill sold as NIB which you said had old food on it and ruined your meal????? Who in the heck cooks a meal on a ebay sold grill without washing it first~new or used? I think you have problems buying used and may be better off shopping in a B & M and maybe you'll be happy? BTW~~I just went back 4 pages in your feedback left to find what I did find and you do seem to be hard to please and I think you "over exagerate"? You, yourself have lots of negs in the last 12 months?????|||This is a great example why as a Seller, you don't issue the refund until you have the item back in your hands. If the Seller had not refunded, Since the OP does not want to pay to ship the item back, OP would have lost the SNAD complaint and Seller would get to keep the money. Now the Seller would also get a NEG, But it looks like the OP is going to leave a NEG anyway Even after getting a full refund . .Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.||||||OP got her refund and still has the item. OP refuses to return the comforter unless the seller send her return shipping money.

Item delivered to wrong city...

Not sure where to go from here. I won an auction from a seller in Virginia, and decided to check the tracking info this morning. To my surprise, it shows the item was delivered in Norfolk, Virginia on 4/22. I live in California. I contacted the seller to find out if maybe the item had been returned to him, since he lives in Virginia and it says it was delivered in Virginia, and he said it wasn't. Anything I can do?|||you can file item not recieved complaint and recover all your $. so ask seller to see what's happened. maybe they put the wrong zip code on package. if after a few days you aren't satisfied with seller's "help". then file the complaint with eBay to recover your $. and any time i must file a complaint , i leave negative feedback and 1's in the dsr stars.|||Perhaps the seller gave you the wrong tracking notice. How long has it been since the seller shipped?Need a website fast?|||First you need to review your address in your Paypal acct to make certain the address is correct (CA) address. If I were you I would pull the seller's contact info and give them a call. Look here Link Make certain both your address on file with Ebay and Paypal are correct, before contacting the seller. If you have changed addresses recently or even in the last several years, you need to change it both with Ebay and Paypal. Seller is required by Paypal/Ebay Buyer protection to only ship to the address on the Paypal Transaction Details Page. If the address with Paypal is correct, file the INR with Paypal and state item delivered to an unknown address in VA , not your address in CA.|||Sorry that should read " If you have changed addresses recently or even in the last several years, you needed to change it with both with Ebay and Paypal." When you contacted the seller, what did they say/show as the ship to address on the Paypal Transaction Details Page? The fact the item has not been returned to the seller, means either they gave you the wrong D/C # or shipped to the wrong address. They owe you a full refund. If no immediate refund, then file the INR with Paypal.|||it may be that it was routed through Norfolk VA on its way to you. or are you in Norfolk California?Even when I am telling a lie I am truthful. Rick|||Seller might have given you the wrong DC number. Your package might still be delivered to you. Check your address on file with PayPal and then contact the seller to check the number.|||Does it say it was DELIVERED or just that it may be at a sorting facility in Norfolk? When was the item mailed? This is only 4/25~~the DC you're looking at is 4/22.

I need some advice re: possible counterfeit perfume

Hello, I bought my favorite no longer made perfume, Givenchy III from a seller. She did have some bad comments back a ways, but the grand majority of her comments were favorable. Got the bottle, used (I knew as was in description) every thing looked right, but the spray nozzle didn't work. I didn't care about keeping it in the original bottle, so I very carefully pried and cracked the top off, after trying everything I could think of and read about on line to make it work. This is not my perfume, it doesn't even smell remotely like it. I have some fragrance allergies and can only wear a couple of things- and the perfume in the bottle made me start sneezing immediately, unlike the original and the reissued Givenchy. I wrote her about this, my message will follow at the end. No answer to my message so far, but I guess, since I took the top off, I'm just out of luck and out over $60. Any advice? Thanks, Cat "Hello, Well, I got my bottle today and although it was very well packed and your shipping was super fast- the spray top didn't work. Since I have been out of this perfume, one of the few I can wear- I went ahead and finally pried the top off. To my great dismay- it does not smell at all like Givenchy III, even the reissue. I had a bottle of the reissued and even though it wasn't as good as the old, I liked it and it didn't affect my fragrance allergy. This one smells different, and I started coughing immediately. So now I have a bottle I can't return, and perfume I can't wear. Do you have any ideas? I won't leave any feedback until we can figure out what to do. Cat P.S. I have never left negative feedback in all of my history here on ebay."|||I think you are out of luck since you broke the bottle (in effect) How the seller is supposed to get the item back now is an issue too. There are lots of buyers who claim fake to get free perfume - not sure if you are aware of this so it makes it doubley iffy. You can file a SNAD if the seller is unwilling to deal with it but I don't know if Paypal will refund you. It's unlikely but who knows? How old was this bottle? the chemicals in perfume will change when it sits around for years and can alter the scent to be unrecognizable.Need a website fast?|||Well, I'm just scr*wed. I have a couple of old bottles of both the older and the newer version, and what I got smelled like something that came in a baby powder container. Nothing like the original or remake at all, which were both a chypre based perfume (unmistakable). I feel like sending it back on my ticket, with the bogus stuff decanted into a new bottle with the original wrapping and all, but heck, she'd probably resell the nasty stuff. Sigh. Ebay university has finally struck home.|||If I were the seller, I would not take it back because you have "altered" the original item. You should have contacted the seller immediately if there was a problem and not pry off the cap. dvgvintage|||I feel like sending it back on my ticket, with the bogus stuff decanted into a new bottle with the original wrapping and all, but heck, she'd probably resell the nasty stuff. Sigh. Ebay university has finally struck home. This is so wrong in so many ways, because what your considering to do is fraud. dvgvintage|||You were desperate enough to smell good you pried off the top?? You eat it!!|||Once you realized the sprayer did not work, you had the obligation to advise your seller, return with Delivery Confrimation and get a full refund OR as you chose , alter the item. You can not expect the seller to "do anything" because in this case, you chose to waive all your return/refund rights ,upon discovering the item not as described ( broken/non working sprayer). You had no right , to even mention feedback. Since fragrances can easily turn in a few years exposed to light, I highly doubt the item is counterfeit. Since the item it no longer made, it is more likely the perfume is old dead stock and not counterfeit. Since you can not return the item in the same condition as shipped to the seller, you need to eat this one and just leave NO feedback.|||"what I got smelled like something that came in a baby powder container. Nothing like the original or remake at all, which were both a chypre based perfume (unmistakable). " You have NO idea what storage conditions over the years, this item was exposed to. This is the risk of buying fragrances on line. Light, heat ,cold temps can alter the delicate balance of fragrances. Since you state, you have fragrance allergies, buying on line may not be your best choice. Certainly "prying the top off" voided the chance of any recourse, but that was your choice. You did not even give the seller a chance to replace or refund.|||Both Paypal and Ebay require you to advise the seller of the itssue and return the item in the same condition as shipped. You can not do this, so you have lost/waived any recourse. Sorry, but the one who "scewed you" is not Ebay or the seller, but yourself.|||Hmm, well I did say I was scr*wed, and admitted all of my errors- but seems like most of you are ignoring the fact that the product was bogus. What I most blame myself for is not reading the toolhaus feedback before bidding- that is the real lesson. This is apparently not the first time the seller was accused of selling something counterfeit. I have used this perfume for over 30 years. My first bottle lasted me 5 years and since I lived in Florida without air conditioning- I am well acquainted with how it smells when it gets old in non-climate controlled conditions. And yes, since I can wear a grand total of 3 perfumes- I was determined to get it open. My bad- but seems like the tone of some responses were not helpful, and sounded more like they came from sellers and not a buyer support group. I was asking for help, not a harangue. BTW, when I talked about sending it back I was being sarcastic. What do I want from the seller? The actual product I mistakenly thought I had purchased. Nothing less, nothing more.|||"Hmm, well I did say I was scr*wed, and admitted all of my errors- but seems like most of you are ignoring the fact that the product was bogus" Unless you can prove the item was counterfeit, then it really is just a guess on your part. Sorry, we can't tell you what you want to hear. For all you know the product was subjected to any number of conditions and yes perfume can change overtime. If you retained the package, then check with the manufacturer to confirm the item was "bogus" as you claim. If it is confirmed , then by all means report it to the trademark owner and Ebay. Since the item is no longer made, I don't know,if this even possible. I understand your disappointment, but with your limited choices of fragrances due to allergies and the abundance of counterfeits out there, I don't think any retailer would take back a spray perfume, who's top was pryed off and altered in anyway. By the way, many of us are buyers and sellers.|||You may want to look at this link regarding your item. It is entirely possible this is a very old item as I said, dead stock that has been in storeage a very long time. Link|||"What do I want from the seller? The actual product I mistakenly thought I had purchased. Nothing less, nothing more." Then you should have not impulsivly pried open the top rendering it un returnable. Had you purchased this in a brick & mortor store, they too would expect, if the spray did not work properly, that it be returned in the same "un opened condition". Since this is an item that is used on the body, most if not all retailers would have a problem with the pried open top of the sealed spray bottle. NOT saying this is the case, but how would a retailer know, if you/someone added or alter their product with the NON meant to be opened/sealed spray top pried off?|||333cat, did you hear back from the seller? I understand your frustration and because perfume is pricey it would peave me off too, to get a product that didn't but you should have contacted the seller before prying it open. As I said before, you can file SNAD of you don't hear from the seller but you may end up paying for shipping again, for nothing.Need a website fast?|||Yes, I did. She has offered a partial refund, which is generous and not really what I asked for. I asked her to check her resources, and if she can find something that is verified, then I will pay shipping and any difference above her offer of a partial. Yes, I really just want the perfume. And, yes, I have currently photographed the labeling, and I have a question in to Givenchy as we speak. Since this was sold as used, it may only mean that she got it from a bad source.

Seller claims no payment received AND won't send item I won!

My name is Seriouscollect66 and I purchased a box of 25 DVDs from user Teamblackgator_0 . The seller claims I never paid, yet a postal monye order was mailed certified to the seller's address. To make it worse, the seller left me two NEGATIVE feedbcaks. The hostility of this seller is unbelievable if one reviews the negative feedback that the seller receives, you can see that all responses to the negative feedback are as far as the seller can go in posting challenging, hateful, sarcastic, and crude remakrs. Does anyone have similar problems with this seller and does anyone have any idea as to what I can do to recover the money that the buyer states he or she did not receive and/or receive the items that I purchased many months ago? I plead for someone's help!! Thank you!!|||Sellers cannot leave buyers negative feedback. You have no recourse with eBay for paying with a method that isn't approved for use on eBay. Any questions I have are asked before bidding and if they aren't answered, I never bid.|||I answer all legit questions IF I receive the message. When I get questions such as "How much to ship to Spain" I delete them~~I already say in my listings I sell to 48 states~~that's it. No sense in wasting my time answering someone who can't read.|||OP not sure what question you would ask? Seller has a clear description, and clear shipping cost of $12. I as most sellers get nervous when buyers start asking questions about shipping and condition after they buy the item.|||I had this happen once when I went out of town. My mother-in-law ships packages out for me when I cannot so there is no delay in shipment, but one weekend when she was doing this she completely forgot to check my messages and answer questions. Luckily all my buyers were pretty understanding about it since I have legit feedback. Maybe this is such the case??

A question about combined shipping

I recently purchased 3X bin items of the exact same thing. The listing said that the seller combined shipping but only on exact items. That's fine because I purchased 3 off of the same thing from the same listing. I won them about 4 days ago and the buyer has never sent an invoice with the combined shipping price. I have emailed the seller on three occasions and requested a total payment. The seller hasn't responded and still hasn't adjusted the invoice with the combined shipping fee. The shippng on the items comes to $20.79 all together which really he could send for about $7 but I don't know what the combined shipping is so I don't know what to pay. What should I do? It's been 4 days and I don't want to be hit with an unpaid strike.|||Pull the seller's contact info(phone) and call them if not an international sale Link It is always a good idea to ask for a firm quote for combined S&H , prior to bidding. Example email: "If I win auction numbers, can you give me a firm quote for S&H to postal zip (Your zip code)?" I have always found this to work well. When the seller answers with the quote, save it by flagging the seller's responce in your MY Ebay messages.|||Do you know the correct total? Was the discount spelled out in the auction or did it just say combined shipping? If you know the total, logon to PayPal choose Send Money then choose Pay For eBay Items and edit the total and pay there. If you don't know the total, in the future always ask before bidding. Send an email to the seller's direct email address. Should be on the end of auction notification from eBay. eBay's message system does not always work properly.|||Great advice. I guess I sort of overlooked the ask before bidding thing. It doesn't give me an exact quote on price of shipping in the listing. It just said "I will combine shipping for all alike items". I guess I probably should have emailed before hitting the bin on 3 of them.

over declared value

Hello guys, I recently bought items from abroad with value 101 Euros (or 135 dollars) including the shipping. Today it arrived with additional 60 dollars in duties and taxes. I am okay with paying these duties and taxes. However, the seller declared the package's value as 257 dollar, that's more than double the original price and shipping cost. These results to unreasonably high duties and taxes. Any advice? Help please. Thanks.|||next time exsplain to the next seller that the value is the amount you paid for the item , excluding shipping. almost 25% tax is very high, you might be able to get that reduced by asking at the tax place|||You may want to email/discuss this with your seller from France|||Take your Ebay invoice to your customs office. They do re-evaluate the duties sometimes.|||as was suggested, ask that the tax be reduced to the correct amount. ultimately though, it is the seller's responsibility for his negligence. you can ask for the difference to be refunded.|||With the eBay invoice you can have the duty re-evaluated. You may even be able to do it by phone/fax/ email. The phone number should be on the back of the customs form. One caveat: here in Canada, while Customs is very good about this, they cannot reevaluate sales taxes and customs brokerage fees. The former are other government departments and the latter is a special little ripoff devised by private couriers.

eBay offers NO SUPPORT in Real Estate Transactions!

eBay offers NO SUPPORT in Real Estate Transactions! If there is to be no support or recourse for fraudulent, misrepresented, or incompleted Real Estate transactions that leave the buyers hanging then eBay should should not allow this category or transactions. TOS: "end the auction 6 hours before its time"

Little help, please What is the "eBay rule" on ending an auction early? Seller T.O.S I start at very low price but may end the auction 6 hours before its time if it doesn’t reach a decent price so don’t let that one go and start bidding if you like it!!! I thought if item had a bid.....it couldn't be ended in the last 12 hours. (I do understand the seller can cancel my bid at anytime, tho) I haven’t bid yet, trying to decide if it worth even keeping in my watch list…..so no auction number T.I.A ( purple Tuxedo mini velvet ruffle )It is a posting ID. I am hiding, hiding from the fact that to acknowledge I have been an eBay buyer since Jan 1999 and average 13.7 buys a month on this site means, I should probably be in some kind of 12 step program for hoarders.|||Your not buy yourself snipenotsnip, the twelve step program that is, LOL!! I went upstairs in my attic yesterday and found some stuff that I've forgotten I had. To answer your question, I think that the seller has to cancel all bids and then end it. The last time I ran auctions, I ended them within 3 mins time, but there were no bids. dvgvintage|||IMO a seller that will do this is losing a lot of bids at the end of an auction. That is when most of the bidding action takes place. Not to mention to blatantly tell prospective buyers that their bid will not be good enough is just bad business and probably scares off more bidders than it attracts. When a seller runs an auction they need to determine if the opening price is one they can live with should that auction end at the opening price. Many sellers are trying to avoid .$15 to $.50 cents in listing fees but costing themselves many dollars in sale prices.Lora There's a reason for everything that has happened in your life. When things are going well, count your blessings and keep up the good work. When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.|||A seller cannot end in the last 12 hours if there has been a bid. This seller is practicing reserve fee avoidance if they actually end auctions this way when they don't get high enough. They can be reported for this violation. I was also checking the completed and don't see any items sold. I wonder if it is the TOS that is scaring the bidders, since they start the items low but have no sales, it makes you wonder if they are IN FACT ending the auctions early (they have bidders at this time) and that's why their ended auctions all show no buyers: the auctions never really got to the end, they ended them themselves. For some reason I feel like I have that dress or something very similar (we sell vintage also). I would have to check storage though....I can check for you (will let you know if I do have it, if that's ok with you).|||Luketania, If you have a dress that and want to sell..OH HECK yes I’m your buyer! I don’t need it until the June 29th…and my “seamstress friend” is bogged down doing prom/wedding dresses and can’t even start on it until mid June…so if you happen to come across the dress in the next week or two drop me an eBaymail!!!! Thanks for the offer! I did note the tear on the hem…and it looks like a pretty easy fix….it comes with buying vintage. This seller has some nice stuff listed….they are a really green nood…they just started selling. I hope they get their act together and get realistic on the prices for the BINS…..even in the best economy…they have things WAY over priced. Like I said..my offer woulda topped at $50.00…and THAT included the shipping…and I think that was 30…so my bid was going be around 18-20 bucks. I haven’t even bothered to look and see how things are going for them…I have a 16 year old son who is trying to drive me into utter insanity over his Prom Tux…. 6’4’’…..278 lbs…. refunds

I have a question about refunds. I have had to ask for a refund 2 times and both times I was stuck paying for the return shipping. On one of them I within 3 days had contacted the seller to report a problem with a brand new bike popping tires repeatedly. My son could not ride the bike without the tires popping. And the other case was a misleading listing about boots, said to have been in good shape when in reality they were so worn out that when you set them down the tops flopped over. In the pictures posted they appear to stand straight up....My question is simply: Is there a way for me to get reimbursed my shipping cost. It was $30.00 to ship the bike back and $10.00 on the boots. Not real fair for the buyer to have to eat that cost. Its not like I just changed my mind and sent them back, There were genuine problems with both products. On the bike I had already left positive feedback because my son truly loved the bike. I left honest negative on the boots and he is now writing asking me to reconsider.||||||Not yet, and I know that the others wont reimburse me. Ebay had to pay for the bike because they refused to. They said that the bike was destroyed (in the 11 days we had possession of it,4 of which it was already boxed up)! Not only that but they already got their positive feedback. My son loved the bike so I had no way of knowing that the problems were going to arise. I always like to leave the feedback once I receive my product and am satisfied with it (LOL)! I wish I had though to let him ride it a few days before leaving feedback! That was a lesson learned.|||Yeah, no hurry to leave FB when you have awhile to really inspect things. (In fact I think that lady from Tenn. already left Russia positive feedback on that kid. ) Well, your sellers know it up to them to make you happy, so it's their choice ultimately. You can always leave a follow-up feedback if you want to.|||Hmmmm, Seems to me you posted about this on another board several weeks ago, but here goes again. My stepson's Dad owns a bike shop, his take on this is A) the rims were not well machined and have some spurs causing the tires to "pop". B) Your son is not using BMX rated tubes in the tires, maybe over inflating the ones he is using.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I did not sell you my opinion|||Both Ebay's and Paypal's Buyer Protection, can only refund exactly what was paid. Item price and the original S& H. Ebay and ,most internet buying, requires the buyer to pay for the return shipping to the seller, just like any store, who accepts returns. Buyers do not get reimbursed for their time or the gas money to return an item to a store. A good seller if asked, will reimburse a buyer the return cost of return shipping, if they made an error in the listing or the item arrives defective. Since most buyer claims of SNAD (significantly not as described) are a differenece of opinion as to condition of the item, between the buyer and seller, there lies the problem. Ebay gives you 60 days from the end of the auction to leave feedback. Leaving feedback immediately is not always the way to go. No harm for either the seller or buyer to wait , until you are certain the item is satisfactory, especially with something like a bike. You can leave an appropriate follow up comment to the feedback left for the bike seller by using this link. Link Appropriate follow up comment might be: " bicycle tires kept popping/loosing air, disappointed after minimal use had to return"|||" I left honest negative on the boots and he is now writing asking me to reconsider." "Boots did not stand up on their own", sounds like an OCD thing. If the boots truly were SNAD and were much more worn than was described in the auction and the seller did not reimburse the return cost of shipping, then let the feedback stand.|||belindaculwell I am confused by the feedback you left the seller on the boots? You state here "the boots did not stand up on their own and were much more worn than indicated in the listing", yet the feedback states "the boots were not ostrich"? Are you saying the boots in the photo and the boots you received, were not of the same style, made by Durango and were not ostrich hide? Did you check the inside of the boots ? Most are marked with the materials content, ie made of cow hide, manmade or in this case ostrich.|||OCD?? WTH? In the picture the boots appear to be in good shape, standing up. I get them and they flop over because they are so worn out. The listings says that they are in good shape/hardly worn. No they are not real Ostrich which was not so much the issue as how bad of shape they are in. He covers his butt on that with this: " I DESCRIBE THINGS FROM MY LIMITED KNOWLEDGE WITH NO EXPERTISE IN ANY SPECIFIC FIELD. " My issue was and still is that they are very very worn out, although the soles were in exceptionally good shape (hmmm), the picture was misleading. I am in no way OCD and these 2 are the only refunds I have ever asked for. I really don't know if I received the boots that are pictured. And yes I did write about the bike before on here. That case really bothers me the most because my son was not able to ride the bike more than an hour or two total yet they said that it was destroyed. The tires and wheels were messed up but how is that not a problem with the bike??? They said the bike was scratched and rusted, we kept the bike indoors at all times. He did wreck once, the first time the tires popped but I did not see any significant damage caused by that but then again, the tires should not have been popping! I did revise my feedback but they came back stating that they would provide pictures as proof of damage. They could have done anything to the bike once it was received.|||I wouldn't worry about boots that don't stand alone. It's boots that "flop over" while I'm in them that would worry me! I'd go see a leg-bone surgeon asap.|||belindaculwell I was being factious about the boots not standing up. If the boots were much more worn and not in the condition as described, that is the issue, not if they stood up on their own. Again , the bike was listed by the seller with a stock/manufactuer photo. Tires that pop, don't hold air are not as described. As I said earlier, if you had to pay for the return shipping for defective or not as described item(s), then I would let the NEG feedback stand.|||I am sorry, I though that you were being rude, I do apologize! This man is trying to intimidate me into changing the feedback and I would have in the beginning had he just offered to pay the return shipping but now he has written to me 4 or 5 times, each time getting worse than the time before and finally in the last one he said he would pay it BUT now,I feel its the principal of it. He is not being honest in his listings and that is not right. I am a buyer and seller on ebay so I understand that ebay is a buyers market for the most part BUT.....when sellers can get away with that its not right. They should have to pay the return shipping too IF it is proven to be a case of misrepresentation. Maybe then, they would be honest. And with honesty you will get less returns. It just make better business sense to me.|||With the bike issue you probably could have gotten by cheaper to take it to a bike shop and have them check out the wheels. As another poster stated, they could have had a spur of metal which if sanded down would have solved the whole problem. Maybe the valve stem had a problem? I've also seen the way kids ride bikes these days~~jumping curbs, etc. and it's no wonder tires don't stand up.||||||OP also purchased a skateboard for his kid so jumping curbs, doing wheelies or taking the bike off road is a definite possibility as to the cause of the problem. The bike in question was new from the factory in an unopened box so probably wasn't even put together? If OP put the tires, tubes on the wheels it may have been a mistake he made that caused the problems with the bike? Now the bike is no good to the seller as it's used in an opened box. He has lost 100's of dollars on this sale.

Ebay attempting to block snipping ?

It was reported to me that Ebay is trying to stop snipping by putting a public service annoucement ( product recalls ) between the confirm bid button and ebay computers accepting the actual bid which defeats the snipping in the last few seconds because you must click " continue " b4 the bid actually goes through. Any others see this ? ( I was give two examples just today )|||How exactly will this stop me from sniping? What you are saying won't stop me one bit.|||Why would ebay want to stop sniping? Sniping results in higher selling price, thus more ebay fees.|||The product recall message has been appearing in the toy categories for some time. It's not consistently shown, however. The message is not an attempt to stop sniping. It's a general attempt by eBay to make sure that consumers check for product recall information before bidding/buying., so that they don't purchase a recalled product. BTW, if you are interested in receiving information and updates as soon as a product is recalled, you sign up for email alerts from the Consumer Product Safety Commission: Link. You can limit the categories of products you get emails on, for example childrens products, so that you are not getting emails about car parts when you're interested in clothing. I would highly recommend that everyone sign up for this list, especially if you have children.friends Director,|||Thanks Billy. Wish it was possible to click all that I'm interested in on one sign up, but that's okay.|||Sniping does not win auctions, the highest price bid does. Time enough to pass the pop up page unless you have a slow connection.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I did not sell you my opinion|||The popup telling me that an item had been recalled would certainly stop my bidding whether I was sniping or not.

The supplier then ships the item directly to the Ebay buyer from their warehouse. Inventory control and accuracy is the seller's responsibility.|||Have you paid for the item yet? IF yes, has the seller refunded you immediately? If you have paid and the seller has not yet refunded, then they should NOT be requesting a cancellation of the transaction, in order to recover their final value fee back from Ebay. Since you did not yet pay for the item, then just forget about these jeans and find another seller to purchase from. Nobody can force the seller to sell the item to you.|||When you agree to the seller's request via Ebay to cancel the transaction, that means the transaction is void, done, finished and you need to move on to another auction/seller. Sounds like the auction ending price was not high enough for the seller or they had the jeans listed and they sold on another venue.|||if walmart has a sale and you run over there to find out they're out what do you do? it happens. seller gives a refund and you move on.|||There are two possibilities here: The seller is dropshipping. As explained above, dropshipping sellers have no control over their stock. They may never have seen what they are selling. In my opinion, filing a NonPerformingSeller dispute would be a sensible move. The seller might start to get the idea that she should sell things she actually owns. The seller didn't get the price she wanted. This is among other faults, fee avoidance. The seller should start the auction at the price she actually will accept. Otherwise she is wasting the buyer's time and her own. Again, a NonPerformingSeller dispute might wake her up. The second of these scenarios is going to become more and more common with the free 99cent auctions eBay is promoting. Mark my words.|||

Please help to make decision about action on seller

Hi. I need advice. I bought Resveratrol from” thelazer”, there was lot for 6 bottles, were more than 8 items was available to purchase, and so I bought two of lots (2X6) to get good rates on shipping. I don payment immediately After two weeks, were most of orders from USA arriving within 6 – 10 days, item didn’t arrive and I shout message about my staff and answer was: “They came back to me in the mail, marked unable to locate address. I've resent them with a better address on them.” Ok and 10 days later I receive package with only 6 bottles. I shout one more message regards what is going on – where is the rest, the answer is: “Hi, I was afraid of that. I sent out two shipments, I have had a problem with Lativia's customs in the past where they have not allowed the import of items. One shipment made it okay, the other must be on it's way back to me. I will send another shipment on Monday with a slightly different address line, that removes the auction #, so that hopefully it will pass Thur customs okay. I'll put an extra bottle in there, maybe they will open the package and keep it as a gift to themselves and then forward the rest to you. If it doesn't arrive, let me know and I will issue a refund for those 6 bottles. I hope this package does reach you safely.” Obviously explanations are fool of lies. Seller didn’t have problems when I ordered same thing tree month ago. Why seller would split one order in two and ship them as separate orders, where there was clearly stated that more than 8 lots are available. And that – “. I'll put an extra bottle in there, maybe they will open the package and keep it as a gift to themselves and then forward the rest to you.” It is illegal for custom to take something out of package, that is so foolish. So, the big question is – what should I do? That person deserves negative feedback, but what would be fair – 1 ask for full refund ? 2 ask for refund of 6 bottles and full shipping cost ? 3 your option? I don’t want any more items from particular seller.|||just ask for the refund of the items you didn't recieve . i'd forget feedback as seller has been comunicating and reshipping items.|||Yes, I agree, but I am unhappy about paying for shipping and getting only half. Why did the seller split the shipment to begin with - that would cost the seller more money. The whole "Customs opening it and keeping one for themselves" seems very odd to me as well. It's almost like the seller is only going to ship the 6 (and not throw in the extra one) and when you receive the package, they're going to say, "Oh customs must have taken that one." That whole sentence just seems very odd to me (that a seller would even state that). I've never shipped to Lativia so I don't know firsthand but the seller's responses do seem strange. At this point, how long has it been since you won the auction? I would file "Item Not Received" for the second lot of 6 that you won (and didn't receive). They will be required to provide proof of delivery and if they don't have it, you will receive your original purchase price and shipping back.|||What was the auction number?|||Sounds to me like the seller is ATTEMPTING to work with the buyer here, and the op is lucky to have a seller willing to ship to Latvia. Many, many sellers wont ship there because of customs laws, scams and lost packages.

I was Sold fake CF card, being insulted and no refund

HI there everyone. I figured the dispute process would have gone a little smoother, but this person, who I suspect is very young, because he keeps referring to me as , "Dude". After I bought a cheap Sandisk card from him, I then researched the fakes and when I got it in the mail, I realized it was a fake. I confirmed this suspicion by also calling the Sandisk Counterfeit hot line. The card came with only 7.6 gb instead of the 8gb, is missing external groves in the plastic shell, that were on the high res stock image provided by Sandisk, and came with no original packaging or the "rescue pro" software. It also came in a generic case. I have other Sandisks and even the plastic cases are different and of better quality. I let the selling know that he sold me a fake, and in return was called "Stupid" and my paypal dispute was declined by him. He manicy sends me 3-4 email at one time babbling about how they are 100% real and I am "stupid" for thinking otherwise. He also mentioned that "for a pro photographer, I'm stupid". I have tried to explain to this person all of my supporting evidence and he claims I am scamming him. Its apparent that he stole the stock images from the Sandisk website to use on his ad and continues to tell me that I should take the card to any "Walmart" and compare the two. I don't need to, the company has already confirmed that it is fake and visually, it is obvious. He has 6 feedbacks so far and 100%, but on person who bought a hard drive claimed that it came with 100gb instead of the 120 that was stated in the ad. This all ads to the confirmation that he is selling counterfeit goods. I emailed another buyer of his who bought the same exact item and the person claimed that there was only 7.6gb on the card too, but the person had already left positive feedback. He demands that I mail it back at my expense and pay extra for tracking...more than I payed for the initial shipping. He also claims that he will not refund me until I send him a tracking number for the package. I guess I can do so by paying for postage online, sending him the tracking number and only drop the package at the post office once I get refund. I'd like to know if there is any recourse for his rude insults, complete disregard for professionalism and his complete denial of selling counterfeit goods? This person should certainly have his IP banned from ever going on the site, but thats not likely to happen. I suspect that he recently opened his newest account after being shut down doing the same business under another name. His name is moservice4u please be aware. I am an honest seller and buyer. I tried to be adult and reasonable with him and he launched into insults. I have yet to leave him feedback, but he is trying to get me to leave positive. I certainly won't but what is the best thing I can write to help inform other buyers of his scam? My apologies for my novel. I don't even care about the $25 anymore...I'm just steaming mad that someone is trying to conduct business here with good honest people and is acting so unprofessional and rude.|||I'm unsure what you mean, "My paypal claim was declined by him." Did you file a SNAD? If not, you should. However, per Paypal's policy, it is the responsibility of the buyer to return the item with Delivery Confirmation (not tracking). Once you have provided the Delivery Confirmation number to Paypal (through your dispute), you will get a refund for the original purchase price and the original shipping. It's unfortunate that the Seller isn't liable for your return shipping (since this is outwardly their fault); however, Paypal does require you to pay that return shipping. As soon as you receive your refund, I would follow through with negative feedback to warn other buyers. I'm not sure how much good it would do to report this seller for his rudeness. Perhaps you put something in your feedback with regard to the way you were treated.|||Thanks Milesbella for the info. I had only actually filed for a refund under the pretense that the item was misrepresented, and that is what he declined. I am just now filing the SNAD and escalating the claim. I thought there was something fishy about him asking me to return the the item before I dealt with Paypal. I have yet to deal with such a dishonest seller. I'll go through with the SNAD and leave feed back. My only concern is that he seems very moody and unstable, and he can retort under my feedback and go as far as saying that I "threatened to kill him" or something, thus making other buyers disregard my feedback. From the barrage of messages I have already received from him, he seems to be irrational and slightly off his rocker. Who knows what he would respond to my neg feedback with. I wish Ebay would get rid of these counterfeit dealers. I guess its hard to control as they pop up like weeds, but there isn't even an avenue to report them by name. Using a counterfeit card in pro gear is like gambling on weather or not your images will actually be there when your done shooting that wedding, and if not, lawsuits are bound to ensue. Thanks again Milesbella. I just figured out this community message board thing and I think I'll be hanging around a lot more since its a great resource to learn from more seasoned sellers.|||"I'd like to know if there is any recourse for his rude insults, complete disregard for professionalism and his complete denial of selling counterfeit goods? Report the seller's user name and auction(s) to the manufacture and here Link You can also report the auction to Ebay here Link It does NOT matter , if the seller agrees or disagrees in the Paypal dispute . Seller does not get to decide the dispute/claim, Paypal does. You escalate the dispute to a claim and await Paypal's instructions. Follow them . If you want a refund of item price and the original S&H from Paypal, then you are normally required to return the item with some form of delivery confirmation on your dime. You give Paypal, not the seller the D/C # proving the return. In some case, Paypal may not require a return , if the auction is reported and taken down/pulled by Ebay, especially if the seller used a Stock photo for a counterfeit. Forget about the scammer's rude emails, you are NO longer, required to communicate further. Just escalate the dispute to a claim and let Paypal sort it out and review it. Leave appropriate NEG feedback as follows: "Item NOT as described, counterfeit memory card confirmed by manufacturer" That will place the seller on Ebay's radar. Note To All Buyers

Your feedback score means nothing to us sellers. Those of us who sell all the time are irritate with the feedback system therefore we do not participate in it. Feedback once upon a time used to be a tool that helped us sellers know who the PITA buyers were but that no longer applies since ebay changed the rules. and to be honest who really uses a broken tool. The only feedback that matters with buyers is feedback left for sellers. There is no point in leaving feedback for buyers since it only matters to buyers. It's the buyers that are suspending the good sellers because they want their pointless positive feedback....so they are leaving negs and 1 stars across the board. In doing that the buyers are only hurting themselves. But in my knowledge buyers love to bite their nose to spite their face. I have had a buyer today that has done this and now I am a below avarage seller. Even though I sell hard to find glass and items. On Friday I am leaving. And if the low self esteem buyers keep doing this the rest of the sellers will leave too.|||If your customers are important to you, I would think that what is important to an evidently significant amount of them would also be important to you. Indeed, it appears to be anything but pointless, & there giving neg feedback as a result to you not leaving any for them has hurt you directly. This should have nothing to do w/ how you feel about eBay's policies, but instead should have everything to do w/ you having the opportunity to give thanks to your customers. After all if you do not take good care of your customers, I am sure some one else out there will.|||OP~~Speak for yourself and don't include ALL sellers in your "view". I LOVE and HONOR all my buyers. I do the best I can to take care of them. I leave feedback when I send the item~~I don't wait to see if they are happy. I have done the best I can and feel confident enough in my description, shipping, etc. to do that. I let them know their item has shipped and give them the USPS tracking number when the item is sent so they can make sure someone is home to accept the delivery. I do the best I can . It has paid off in the long run for me. Don't speak for other sellers as to YOUR feelings at the moment~NOT all of us agree with your logic.|||I am a seller and I participate in it! I am also a buyer! Funny, if you are going to let one buyer get the best of you, I think you are silly...no offense!|||I make feedback work for me as a seller. I leave feedback immediately after packing up my items and include the shipping invoice number from Paypal. This allows my buyer to know immediately that the item is on its way. In some few cases it may give a certain amount of tracking. It certainly gives Delivery Confirmation. For me this cuts down the queries about when and if the item shipped, particularly important since I am in Canada and most of my sales are cross-border. It also discourages specious INR claims since the DC number is there for all to see.|||Well buyer feedback is much of useful tool as it once was! Since there is no way too know if the Buyer has a history of PITA or Payment issues .|||Buyers are not to leave feedback based on whether or not they received feedback. How is the seller suppose to know if the buyer is happy with the widget if the seller has had no communication with the buyer or left feedback for the seller. A buyer should at least be able to message the seller through ebay to let the seller know if they are satisfied or not before leaving feedback. I never leave feedback as a seller until I've heard from the buyer..================================================== Yes I do sell on ebay, this is my buying ID.|||I guess we know why the OP needed a brand spanking new posting ID.|||Ebay is the one you should be blaming. Ebay is the one who is pitting buyers and sellers against each other. Ebay is the one who keeps telling buyers that 4 is good then suspending sellers for the very same rating. Buyers for the most part are honest and good. They think they're participating in a system that helps the community. Instead, they are being used to hurt good sellers. BTW, except for a very few twisted people, I truly believe most "bad buyers" are competing sellers||||||Even feedback from the buyer doesn't always tell you anything as to if they are happy or not. Example~got one last night on a NEW juicer I sold~it only says "ddd". It's a positive but what does it mean?? I'm not going to ask but just be thankful my DSR's are still up there and that it was a positive.|||The OP should have left 6 months ago if he/she cares so little about their buyers. I always leave feedback for a seller but I only have about a 50% feedback from them. To each his/her own..|||"The OP should have left 6 months ago if he/she cares so little about their buyers." Don't assume the OP doesn't care about buyers. It might be about the frustration with the system. Not everyone has the same problems or experiences, and we should never judge based on our own limited experience.|||Thank you but I'm going by what the op said. Not assuming anything.. It could be you assuming the op is posting out of frustration..|||Please show me were in the OP it says, "I don't care about buyers".

Beware Fake MAC Cosmetics!!!

Buyers Beware!!! MAC does NOT make 120 palette eyeshadows or the MAC 12 cream shadow palette!!! They are all FAKE!!! Knockoffs from China from a company called Manly. eCheck question

Morning everyone I recently sold a TomTom gps unit under my selling account, and the buyer paid via eCheck. After recieving the notice from paypal about the eCheck, I noticed that the buyers shipping address was unconfirmed, and that seller protection was ineligible. I do have the option to cancel the eCheck payment. My question is should I cancel the transaction since there is no seller protection, and the address is unconfirmed, or not? Thanks|||No, do not cancel. Those things are always there until the e check clears. Once the e check clears the buyers address will appear and it will say it is eligible. You don't have to send to a confirmed address any longer AS LONG as it says it is pay pal protection eligible.|||I have checked in paypal, and nowhere does it say paypal protection is eligible. I did notice in the paypal transaction that the buyer is verified.|||Once the eCheck clears, it should change to Eligible. Before that, you haven't been paid, so it's Ineligible. Confirmed or unconfirmed does not matter in regards to being covered.friends Director,|||Just like the previous posters say, you will NOT know the real status of this seller (if conformed address or not) until AFTER their payment clear, so it really makes no sence to cancel their payment. Just sit tight and wait a couple days and see what happens. Most likely their address will be confirmed and you will be clear to ship. Also...what is that thing when you don't need to NECESARLY send to confirm addresses but only to the address provided by eBay? I know I have that, but I don't remember if you had to be a power seller or whatever to get that benefit. I just remember you had to apply for it. But that was a while ago so I really don't remember what was all about. Maybe someone will come and clear that, and then maybe you are elegible and then you will not even have to worry if the address is elegible (but of course you will STILL need to send to given address by Paypal and with delivery confirmation). Anyway, someone will probably come and tell you all about it.|||Thanks everyone for your replies. Use of eBay Internation Trading as broker for Craigs List sale?

Hi, I have looked at a piece of machinery, listed on Craigslist in Colorado & Wyoming. Seller didn't research shipping?

I used BIN to purchase a jogging stroller on Monday of this week. I immediately paid the $36 BIN and the $32.80 shipping. Seller left FB saying how quickly I paid. I waited for it to be shipped. And waited. This morning (Thursday), I received a message from the seller stating: "Hello I had too refund you money, UPS shipping was $73.00 to ship item Its in the PayPal e-check process and you should have it refunded by Monday Sorry... never imagined the cost to be so ridiculously expensive" I'm in shock. As a seller, I always research shipping rates before I list an item. Doesn't everyone? It's not like she charged an even amount ($20, $25, $30, etc) for shipping; she charged a very specific $32.80. That implies, at least to me, that she did some looking into it before posting the item. I did leave negative FB because I felt it was warranted. I've never had any problems like this on eBay before! I'm just in shock! Did I do the right thing with the neg FB? Is there anything else I should / could do? This same principal applies when the seller sends an invoice which is diligently paid the sale is finalized and the seller has the obligation to fullfill that transaction. If we, for purpose of example, reverse the scenario; bidder "accidentally bids too much on an item", the seller is under no obligation to render over-bid amount. So, why would the buyer in this case be obligated to spend more than invoice to finally have item shipped to them? I, as both a seller and a buyer, have expierienced both ends of this scenario and must conclude that both buyer AND seller must closely determine thier costs and examine the small print and details.
