My wife and I both have 3GS iPhones fully updated to 3.1 and 5.5. In trying to MMS from one phone to the other this is what I've found over the past week.
-less than 50% of photos taken from within MMS app will send
-I have yet to successfully send a photo from the camera roll or any saved photo
-once a message fails, it is pointless to retry, it never goes through, just start over
-of the MMS that send less than 50% ever are received by the other iphone
-those that are received arrive in 1 to 3 minutes
-whether one or both iphones are in E areas or 3G areas or in the both in the house does not seem to matter
Back to just emailing attachments to each other using gMail, then standard text the other to check email. That almost always works, faster and with less aggravation.
